What this site is
Sisal Puerto is an independent informational site dedicated to the port of Sisal, Yucatan. It brings together history, photographs, practical information, notes on nature, transportation, the beach and observations about the place.
What it contains
The site is organized as a simple guide: port history, how to get there, photo gallery, beach and weather, wildlife and natural landscape, plus a notes section for short articles or occasional updates.
About the project
Sisal Puerto began years ago as a simple HTML and CSS practice project, when the main goal was learning how to build web pages. Over time, the project started to take its own shape and became a small base for gathering information about Sisal.
The current version returns to that first idea with more structure: bilingual content, photographs, notes, maps, historical references and gradual improvements in design and navigation. It also works as a continuous learning space, where web development meets an interest in documenting the port more carefully.
In the future, the site may serve as an entry point for related projects around Sisal: local guides, services, nature, history, maps or independent initiatives. The goal is to let those topics grow in an organized way without losing the informational character of this main site.
Editorial note
The information is presented for general reference and may be updated over time. Some details, such as restaurant hours or services, can change by season, weekday or local availability, so it is best to confirm them before traveling.
Contributions and credits
The site can grow with contributions from people who know Sisal: old photographs, memories, historical details, corrections, place recommendations, bibliography or practical information for visitors.
When third-party materials are added, the intention is to give proper credit and clearly distinguish between original content, consulted sources and external contributions. For now, any contribution will be reviewed carefully to preserve the informational and independent tone of the project.
A dedicated contact channel for the site may be added later. In the meantime, this section remains an open invitation to improve the information with respect for the place and for the people who know it.
Authorship and photographs
The site is developed and maintained by Arturo Perez Riveroll, a Software Engineering student based in Merida, Yucatan. The content reflects an interest in documenting and organizing information about Sisal from a local and independent perspective.
